Sweet and Sour Meatloaf

1/2 lb. ground beef or turkey
1 slice whole grain bread
1 onion, diced
2 peppers, red and green or yellow or orange, diced
3 cloves garlic, diced
3/4 cup crushed pineapple
1 T. balsamic vinegar
2 T. ketchup
salt
basil
cooking oil

Heat cooking oil in a fry pan to medium. Add onion, peppers, garlic. Saute until tender. Mix meat, bread, pineapple in a large mixing bowl. Add cooked vegetables, vinegar, salt and basil. Mix until uniform. Form mixture into a loaf shape and place in a large bread pan. Spread ketchup over the top of the loaf. Bake on 350 for about 60 minutes, or until cooked through.

Banana's Notes
You can also add one egg to make the loaf stick together better.

I'm telling you: my sweet 'n' sour meatloaf is tasty. 1/2 a cup of sugar tasty.

Do you think the onion and pepper flavors would be subtle enough that someone who is not a fan of said vegetables would still enjoy this meatloaf?

Cash, just cook the veggies longer and/or reduce the amounts.

Cardine, you need to post your recipe on your blog for those who are sugar fans.
